Provider Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 13 September 2026

Overview

These Provider Terms & Conditions (“Provider Terms”) govern your registration and use of Rahmah Connect as an independent service provider. By registering as a Provider, accepting these Provider Terms or accepting bookings through Rahmah Connect, you agree to comply with them.

1. About Rahmah Connect

Rahmah Connect is operated by: Rahmah Connect Ltd Company number: 17403477 Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street Covent Garden London WC2H 9JQ United Kingdom Website: rahmahconnect.com Provider enquiries: providers@rahmahconnect.com General enquiries: info@rahmahconnect.com Support: support@rahmahconnect.com Accounts: accounts@rahmahconnect.com “Rahmah Connect”, “Rahmah”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Rahmah Connect Ltd. “Provider”, “you” and “your” mean the independent person or business registered to offer services through Rahmah Connect. “Customer” means a person using Rahmah Connect to search for or book services.

PART A — YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH RAHMAH CONNECT

2. Rahmah Connect is a marketplace

Rahmah Connect operates an online marketplace through which independent Providers can advertise, offer and provide services to Customers. Initial service categories include:

  • Companionship
  • Home Help
  • Cleaning; and
  • Meal Preparation.

Additional categories may be introduced later. Rahmah provides marketplace facilities which may include:

  • Provider profiles
  • Customer discovery
  • booking management
  • payment processing
  • communications
  • verification
  • ratings and reviews
  • support
  • dispute-management tools; and
  • promotional services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Rahmah Connect does not itself perform the Provider's services.

3. You are an independent Provider

Providers operate as independent service providers. Nothing in these Provider Terms is intended, by itself, to create a relationship of:

  • employer and employee
  • worker and employer
  • partnership
  • joint venture
  • agency; or
  • franchise.

You are responsible for the manner in which you lawfully perform your services, subject to the service agreed with the Customer and reasonable marketplace standards. You are responsible for your own:

  • tax affairs
  • National Insurance where applicable
  • business expenses
  • equipment
  • licences
  • registrations
  • insurance
  • professional requirements; and
  • legal obligations.

You are not authorised to make commitments on behalf of Rahmah Connect or represent yourself as an employee or agent of Rahmah Connect. The legal status of a relationship ultimately depends on how it operates in practice, not simply what a contract calls it. Rahmah will therefore operate the marketplace consistently with this independent-provider model.

4. No guaranteed work

Registering with Rahmah Connect does not guarantee:

  • a minimum number of bookings
  • minimum earnings
  • a particular ranking
  • a particular geographical area
  • exclusivity; or
  • continuous availability of the platform.

Subject to bookings you have already accepted and these Terms, you generally decide when you are available and which booking requests you accept.

PART B — ELIGIBILITY AND VERIFICATION

5. Provider eligibility

To become a Provider you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • have legal capacity to enter contracts
  • have the legal right to provide the services offered
  • provide accurate information
  • successfully complete applicable verification requirements; and
  • comply with these Provider Terms.

Rahmah may refuse an application where reasonable verification or marketplace requirements are not met.

6. Information we may request

Depending on the services offered, Rahmah may require information including:

  • proof of identity
  • proof of address
  • photograph
  • DBS-related information
  • qualifications
  • certificates
  • references
  • professional registrations
  • licences
  • insurance
  • food-business registration
  • food-hygiene information
  • right-to-work or other eligibility information where applicable
  • bank/payout information; and
  • other evidence reasonably relevant to the service.

You must provide truthful, current and authentic information. Submitting forged, altered, borrowed or deliberately misleading verification documentation is a serious breach and may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal.

7. DBS checks

DBS checks will not necessarily be required for every Provider or every service category. Rahmah may require an appropriate DBS check where reasonably relevant to:

  • the nature of the service
  • the people receiving the service
  • safeguarding considerations
  • applicable law
  • partner requirements; or
  • Rahmah's marketplace safety standards.

A DBS check or verification badge is not a guarantee of future behaviour. Providers must notify Rahmah where legally required or where information arises that materially affects their continued eligibility to provide a service. Rahmah's handling of DBS/criminal-offence information is subject to additional data-protection requirements. The ICO says organisations without official authority need both an Article 6 lawful basis and an applicable DPA 2018 Schedule 1 condition before processing criminal-offence information, and an Appropriate Policy Document is required for many Schedule 1 conditions.

8. Ongoing verification

Approval is not necessarily permanent. Rahmah may reasonably require Providers to:

  • update expired documents
  • re-confirm information
  • provide renewed insurance
  • undergo re-verification
  • provide additional documentation when adding services; or
  • demonstrate continued eligibility.

A Provider may be temporarily unable to accept certain bookings while required verification is incomplete or expired.

PART C — PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES

9. Your services

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • your profile accurately describes your services
  • your availability is reasonably accurate
  • your pricing is accurate
  • you only offer services you are competent and legally permitted to perform
  • you perform accepted services with reasonable care and skill
  • you arrive at the agreed time
  • you use suitable equipment where applicable; and
  • you comply with applicable law.

You must not knowingly accept a booking you cannot reasonably fulfil.

10. Qualifications, licences and registrations

You are responsible for identifying and maintaining any qualification, registration, licence, permission or certification legally required for your service. Rahmah's verification of a document does not transfer your legal responsibility to Rahmah. If a licence, qualification, registration or other permission expires, is suspended or is withdrawn, you must stop offering any affected service and notify Rahmah promptly.

11. Insurance

Providers must maintain any insurance required by law. Rahmah may additionally require particular categories of Provider to maintain appropriate insurance as a condition of using the marketplace. Depending on the service, this may include:

  • public liability insurance
  • professional indemnity insurance
  • business-use motor insurance; or
  • another appropriate policy.

Where Rahmah requires insurance, you must provide evidence on request and keep it valid while providing the relevant services.

PART D — COMPANIONSHIP AND HOME HELP

12. Regulated services

Listing under Companionship or Home Help does not automatically authorise a Provider to deliver regulated personal care, nursing, medical treatment or another regulated activity. You must not perform an activity requiring:

  • professional registration
  • regulatory registration
  • specialist authorisation; or
  • another legal permission,

unless you personally or your business has the necessary authority and Rahmah has permitted that service category where applicable. Providers must not represent themselves as nurses, healthcare professionals, regulated carers or other protected professionals unless legally entitled to do so.

13. Emergencies and safeguarding

Rahmah Connect is not an emergency service. If you encounter an immediate emergency during a booking, you should contact the appropriate emergency service where necessary. Serious safeguarding concerns should also be reported promptly to Rahmah Connect. Where appropriate and lawful, Rahmah may refer serious concerns to relevant authorities.

PART E — MEAL PREPARATION

14. In-home Meal Preparation

Providers may, where permitted, offer Meal Preparation in a Customer's home. Providers must:

  • follow appropriate food-hygiene practices
  • take reasonable care regarding contamination
  • follow relevant Customer instructions
  • take allergies and intolerances seriously
  • use ingredients safely; and
  • comply with applicable food law.

15. Food prepared away from the Customer's home

Providers wishing to prepare food at their own premises or another location for supply to Customers may be subject to additional approval before offering that service through Rahmah. Providers are responsible for:

  • registering their food business where legally required
  • operating from appropriate premises
  • food hygiene
  • food safety
  • allergen requirements
  • storage
  • temperature control
  • labelling where applicable
  • transportation; and
  • other applicable food-law obligations.

The Food Standards Agency currently states that a new food business must register with the relevant local authority at least 28 days before trading or food operations begin, including businesses operating from a home address. Rahmah may require evidence of registration and other food-safety documentation before enabling off-site Meal Preparation.

16. Allergies

Providers must take reasonable care with allergy and dietary information communicated by Customers. You must not claim that food is allergen-free, halal, vegan, vegetarian or suitable for a particular dietary/medical requirement unless you can properly support that claim and provide the service accordingly. Serious allergy information must never knowingly be ignored.

PART F — BOOKINGS

17. Booking requests

Customers may request services through Rahmah Connect. Depending on the platform functionality, you may be able to accept or decline a booking. Once you accept a booking, you are expected to honour it. The service contract is generally between you and the Customer.

18. Booking information

Before accepting, check relevant information including:

  • service requested
  • date
  • time
  • location
  • expected duration
  • price
  • applicable commission
  • relevant instructions; and
  • information reasonably necessary to perform the service.

If information is unclear, you should seek clarification before accepting where reasonably possible.

19. Customer information

Customer information supplied through Rahmah may only be used for legitimate purposes connected with:

  • the booking
  • providing the service
  • appropriate follow-up
  • safety
  • resolving a dispute; or
  • another purpose permitted by law.

You must not:

  • sell Customer information
  • use it for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis
  • disclose it unnecessarily
  • misuse sensitive information; or
  • retain it unnecessarily.

The Rahmah Privacy Policy provides further information.

PART G — PRICING, COMMISSION AND PAYMENTS

20. Provider prices

Where the platform allows you to set your own prices, you are responsible for keeping them accurate. A Customer must not be asked to pay an undisclosed mandatory amount after accepting the booking.

21. Rahmah Provider commission

Rahmah Connect may charge a commission/platform fee on bookings generated through the marketplace. Our intended standard Provider commission at launch is: 10% of the Provider service amount unless another rate is displayed and agreed for the relevant booking. Rahmah may offer:

  • introductory rates
  • reduced commission
  • 0% commission
  • promotional periods
  • Provider incentives; or
  • other commercial offers.

The applicable commission should be made available to you before you accept the relevant booking. Rahmah may change its standard commission for future bookings by giving appropriate notice. We will not retrospectively increase the commission on a booking you have already accepted.

22. Online payments

Online payments are expected to be facilitated through Stripe Connect or another payment provider Rahmah may lawfully introduce. Applicable Provider commission and other properly disclosed amounts may be deducted before payout where the payment system permits. Providers may be required to complete payment-provider onboarding and verification before receiving payouts. Payment-provider terms may also apply.

23. Completing a job

After genuinely completing the agreed service, you should mark the booking Completed. You must not mark a service completed:

  • before it has actually been completed
  • where you did not attend
  • where the booking was cancelled
  • to trigger an improper payout; or
  • to manipulate platform records.

False completion may constitute fraud and can result in immediate suspension.

24. 48-hour payment release

Once you mark a booking completed, the Customer may be asked to confirm completion or raise a genuine issue. Where the Customer confirms completion, payment may be released in accordance with the payout process. If the Customer takes no action within 48 hours, and no dispute or other legitimate hold applies, Rahmah may automatically treat the booking as completed and release the Provider payout. This prevents Customer inaction from holding Provider earnings indefinitely.

25. Payment holds and disputes

Rahmah may temporarily pause a payout where there is a genuine reason, including:

  • Customer dispute
  • suspected fraud
  • chargeback
  • safeguarding concern
  • suspected false completion
  • payment-provider review
  • suspected circumvention; or
  • another reasonable compliance concern.

Rahmah may request evidence from both parties. A payment hold is not, by itself, a finding that the Provider has done anything wrong. We will aim to investigate reasonably and release undisputed amounts where appropriate.

PART H — OFFLINE PAYMENTS

26. Authorised offline payments

Rahmah may enable offline payment:

  • for all Providers
  • for selected Providers
  • for particular Customers
  • for particular booking types; or
  • on another controlled basis.

Rahmah may disable this facility at any time for future bookings. An authorised offline payment remains a Rahmah Connect booking.

27. Platform fees on offline bookings

Where a booking is accepted through Rahmah but payment is made offline, the applicable Rahmah Provider fee/commission remains payable unless Rahmah expressly waives it. Rahmah may automatically generate an invoice for the applicable platform fee. As we previously designed the system, the invoice may be raised automatically on the scheduled job date once an offline-payment booking has been accepted, regardless of whether the Provider subsequently presses “Complete”. This prevents avoiding platform fees simply by failing to update booking status. The invoice will state the amount and payment terms.

28. Offline-payment records

Providers must accurately record the status of offline bookings. You must not:

  • falsely cancel a completed booking
  • falsely claim that no payment was received
  • create artificial bookings
  • manipulate the service value
  • move the booking outside Rahmah to avoid commission; or
  • otherwise falsify transaction information.

PART I — CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS

29. Provider cancellations

Once you accept a booking, Customers should be able to rely reasonably on you attending. If you need to cancel, you must do so through Rahmah as soon as reasonably possible. Where a Provider cancels:

  • the Provider receives no payment for the cancelled service
  • the Customer will normally receive a full refund
  • Rahmah may assist the Customer in finding an alternative Provider; and
  • the cancellation may be recorded against the Provider account.

30. Emergencies

We recognise that genuine emergencies, illness and unavoidable events happen. Rahmah may take the circumstances into account when assessing a Provider cancellation. Providers should notify Rahmah promptly and provide reasonable information where requested.

31. Repeated Provider cancellations

Repeated, avoidable or very late cancellations can materially harm Customers and the marketplace. Rahmah may respond by:

  • warning the Provider
  • reducing booking visibility where objectively justified
  • temporarily restricting new bookings
  • requiring an explanation
  • suspending the account; or
  • terminating Provider access in serious/repeated cases.

We will consider relevant circumstances rather than automatically penalising every genuine emergency.

32. Provider no-show

Failing to attend an accepted booking without reasonable explanation is a serious matter. The Provider will normally:

  • receive no payment
  • have the incident recorded
  • be required to provide an explanation; and
  • potentially face account action.

Repeated or deliberate no-shows may result in suspension or removal.

33. Customer no-show

Where you attend at the agreed place and time but the Customer is unavailable, you should:

  • attempt to contact the Customer through appropriate channels
  • remain at the location for a reasonable period; and
  • record/report the no-show through Rahmah.

As a normal operational guideline: Bookings of one hour or less — approximately 15 minutes. Longer bookings — approximately 20 minutes. Circumstances may justify a different period. Where the Customer remains unavailable, applicable Customer cancellation/no-show rules may apply and the Provider may receive payment where appropriate.

PART J — CONDUCT AND SAFETY

34. Provider conduct

Providers must behave professionally and respectfully. The following are prohibited:

  • harassment
  • threats
  • violence
  • sexual misconduct
  • exploitation
  • abuse
  • unlawful discrimination
  • hate speech
  • theft
  • fraud
  • deliberately unsafe behaviour
  • illegal services
  • falsifying documents
  • misuse of Customer property
  • misuse of confidential information
  • manipulating reviews
  • false booking records; and
  • serious safeguarding breaches.

35. Customer property

Providers must take reasonable care of Customer property. You must not:

  • take or use property without permission
  • deliberately or recklessly damage property
  • copy keys without authority; or
  • retain keys/access devices after you are required to return them.

Any loss or damage should be reported promptly.

36. Boundaries

Providers should maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Companionship does not give a Provider authority to:

  • control a customer’s finances
  • borrow money from a customer
  • pressure a customer into gifts
  • become a beneficiary under a will
  • improperly influence financial decisions; or
  • exploit a vulnerable person.

Rahmah may investigate circumstances suggesting financial or other exploitation.

PART K — REVIEWS

37. Customer reviews

Customers associated with eligible completed bookings may review Providers. Providers must not:

  • create fake Customer accounts
  • buy reviews
  • reward Customers specifically for dishonest positive reviews
  • threaten Customers over reviews
  • retaliate against a customer for a genuine review; or
  • manipulate review systems.

You may report a review you genuinely believe breaches Rahmah's review rules. A negative review will not be removed merely because you disagree with it. Rahmah may investigate fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant or unlawful reviews.

PART L — OFF-PLATFORM CIRCUMVENTION

38. Why these matters

Rahmah invests in:

  • attracting Customers
  • Provider acquisition
  • technology
  • verification
  • payment infrastructure
  • marketing
  • support
  • trust and safety; and
  • operating the marketplace.

The Provider commission funds these activities.

39. Anti-circumvention rule

You must not deliberately use Rahmah Connect to meet or obtain a customer and then arrange substantially similar services privately for the purpose of improperly avoiding Rahmah's applicable fees or marketplace rules. Examples include:

  • asking a customer to cancel and pay you privately
  • accepting cash after falsely cancelling the Rahmah booking
  • deliberately moving repeat Rahmah-generated bookings to WhatsApp/telephone solely to avoid commission
  • giving private bank details for the purpose of bypassing Rahmah
  • understating the booking value
  • creating false cancellations
  • failing to record offline bookings; or
  • encouraging Customers to circumvent Rahmah.

40. Contact details are not automatically circumvention

Providers and Customers may genuinely need telephone numbers or other contact details to perform a service safely and effectively. Simply exchanging contact details does not automatically breach these Terms. The issue is deliberate avoidance of properly applicable Rahmah fees/rules. Similarly, an offline payment expressly enabled by Rahmah is not circumvention.

41. Consequences

Where Rahmah reasonably determines that deliberate circumvention has occurred, we may:

  • issue a warning
  • require payment of properly due commission
  • recover demonstrable losses where legally recoverable
  • restrict access to features
  • suspend the Provider; or
  • terminate the Provider account for serious/repeated breaches.

Rahmah does not impose an arbitrary fixed financial penalty merely because a Provider and Customer communicate privately.

PART M — TAX AND BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITIES

42. Tax

Providers are responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations arising from income earned through Rahmah. Rahmah does not provide individual tax advice. Where Rahmah is legally required to collect, retain or report information to HMRC or another competent authority, we may do so.

43. Records

Providers should maintain appropriate records of their business income, expenses and activities as required by law. Rahmah may provide transaction or earnings information through the platform, but Providers remain responsible for their own accounting records.

PART N — ACCOUNT RESTRICTIONS

44. Suspension

Rahmah may temporarily suspend or restrict a Provider account where reasonably necessary to investigate:

  • safety concerns
  • safeguarding concerns
  • suspected fraud
  • identity concerns
  • expired verification
  • serious complaints
  • payment abuse
  • circumvention
  • repeated cancellations
  • false documents
  • unlawful services; or
  • another serious breach.

Temporary suspension during an investigation does not necessarily mean wrongdoing has been established.

45. Permanent removal

Rahmah may terminate Provider access where there is a serious or repeated breach, including:

  • violence or threats
  • serious safeguarding misconduct
  • sexual misconduct
  • fraud
  • theft
  • deliberate exploitation
  • forged documents
  • serious unlawful activity
  • deliberate circumvention
  • repeated serious marketplace abuse; or
  • another breach making continued access inappropriate.

Where circumstances permit, Rahmah will act reasonably and proportionately.

46. Provider termination

You may stop using Rahmah Connect. However, leaving the platform does not automatically cancel:

  • accepted bookings
  • outstanding commission
  • invoices
  • refunds
  • disputes
  • chargebacks; or
  • obligations arising before termination.

PART O — LIABILITY

47. Provider responsibility

As the independent person/business performing the service, you are responsible for your own acts and omissions. This may include responsibility for:

  • poor or negligent work
  • damage
  • loss
  • injury
  • food-safety failures
  • unlawful services
  • breach of Customer contract; and
  • failure to comply with applicable professional/legal requirements.

48. Rahmah's role

Rahmah provides the marketplace and related platform services. Rahmah is responsible for obligations legally imposed upon Rahmah. Rahmah is not automatically responsible for the independent acts or omissions of Providers merely because a booking originated through the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

49. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, where Rahmah suffers a direct loss, liability, cost or third-party claim because of a Provider's unlawful conduct, fraud, material breach of these Terms or negligent performance of their independent service, the Provider may be responsible for the resulting reasonable loss. This provision is intended to allocate responsibility fairly and does not require a Provider to compensate Rahmah for matters caused by Rahmah's own negligence, breach or wrongdoing.

PART P — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

50. Rahmah property

Rahmah's software, branding, logos, designs and original platform content remain Rahmah's or its licensors' intellectual property. Providers receive a limited right to use the platform for legitimate marketplace activity.

51. Provider content

You retain ownership of content you own, such as original photographs and profile descriptions. By uploading content, you grant Rahmah a non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt for technical/display purposes and use it as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate your profile
  • advertise your services on Rahmah
  • operate and promote the marketplace; and
  • provide platform functionality.

You must have the necessary rights to content you upload.

PART Q — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

52. Changes

Rahmah may update these Provider Terms because of:

  • legal/regulatory changes
  • new services
  • new platform functionality
  • security requirements
  • changes to payment arrangements; or
  • reasonable changes to the marketplace model.

Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Changes to future commission rates will not retrospectively increase commission on an already accepted booking. Where appropriate, continued use after notice of revised terms may constitute acceptance, subject to applicable law.

PART R — COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

53. Provider support

Provider enquiries should normally be sent to: providers@rahmahconnect.com Account/payment enquiries: accounts@rahmahconnect.com General support: support@rahmahconnect.com Providers should provide relevant booking/account details when contacting us.

54. Disputes with Customers

Rahmah may facilitate resolution of disputes but is not automatically a party to the underlying service contract. Both parties should cooperate reasonably and provide truthful evidence. Fraudulent evidence or deliberately false allegations are serious breaches.

55. Governing law

These Provider Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.

PART S — GENERAL

56. Entire agreement

These Provider Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them and booking-specific terms, form the agreement governing your use of Rahmah as a Provider.

57. Severability

If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally possible.

58. No waiver

A delay in enforcing a right does not necessarily waive that right.
