Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 13 September 2026

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Rahmah Connect Ltd (“Rahmah Connect”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use rahmahconnect.com, our web platform and related online services. This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we collect, use and protect personal information.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of information that may be stored on your computer, smartphone, tablet or other device when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies and similar technologies can perform a variety of functions, such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, helping websites operate securely, understanding how people use a service and measuring advertising. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device. UK rules can apply to these technologies in much the same way as they apply to traditional cookies.

2. How Rahmah Connect uses cookies

Rahmah Connect may use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes: Strictly Necessary — to operate and secure the platform, provide functions requested by you, maintain sessions, enable account login, process bookings and payments, prevent fraud and remember essential privacy choices. Functional — to remember choices and preferences and provide enhanced functionality. Analytics and Performance — to understand how visitors find and use Rahmah Connect, which pages and features are useful, where users encounter problems and how we can improve the platform. Advertising and Marketing — with your consent, to measure advertising campaigns, understand interactions with our marketing and, where applicable, deliver or help deliver more relevant advertising. Not every category will necessarily be active at all times.

3. Strictly Necessary technologies

Some cookies and similar technologies are required for Rahmah Connect to function correctly or provide a service you have requested. These may be used for purposes including:

  • maintaining secure login sessions
  • account authentication and security
  • fraud and abuse prevention
  • maintaining bookings or transactions
  • processing payments
  • network management and security
  • remembering your cookie/privacy choices; and
  • providing functionality specifically requested by you.

Where the applicable law permits these technologies without consent, they may operate automatically. Disabling them through your browser may cause parts of Rahmah Connect not to work correctly.

4. Functional technologies

Functional technologies may allow Rahmah Connect to remember choices you make and provide additional functionality. Depending upon how a particular technology is used and the applicable legal requirements, we will obtain consent where required before activating it.

5. Analytics and performance

We intend to use analytics technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how people interact with Rahmah Connect. Information collected may include information about:

  • pages viewed
  • time spent on the platform
  • how visitors reached Rahmah Connect
  • links and features used
  • approximate location derived from technical information
  • browser and device type
  • operating system
  • general interaction and usage information; and
  • technical performance and errors.

We may use this information to understand usage patterns, improve the user experience, diagnose problems and develop Rahmah Connect. We will configure analytics technologies in accordance with applicable UK requirements, including obtaining consent or providing any required objection mechanism depending on the technology and legal exemption relied upon.

6. Advertising and marketing technologies

With your consent, Rahmah Connect may use advertising and marketing technologies provided by third parties. We currently intend to use technologies including: Meta Pixel — to help measure the effectiveness of advertising on Meta services and understand actions taken after interacting with advertisements. TikTok Pixel — to help measure the effectiveness of TikTok advertising and understand interactions following advertising campaigns. We may introduce other advertising or marketing technologies in the future. These technologies may collect or receive information about your device, browser, interactions with Rahmah Connect and interactions with advertisements. They may also enable the relevant provider to associate information with other information it holds, subject to its own privacy practices and the choices available to you. Advertising and behavioural-tracking technologies will not be activated merely because you visit Rahmah Connect. Where consent is legally required, they will only be activated after you have made an affirmative choice to accept the relevant category. Current ICO guidance confirms that storage/access technologies used for online advertising require consent, including associated tracking and profiling.

7. Third-party technologies

Some technologies used by Rahmah Connect may be provided by third parties that support the operation, security, analytics, payments or marketing of our platform. Depending on the services implemented, these may include providers such as: Google — analytics and related technology; Meta — advertising measurement and marketing technology; TikTok — advertising measurement and marketing technology; Stripe — payment and transaction-related functionality. Other providers may be introduced as Rahmah Connect develops. Some third parties may process information for their own purposes under their own privacy policies. Where required, we will provide appropriate information about relevant third parties through our cookie-management interface, Privacy Policy or other privacy information.

8. Cookie consent

When you first visit Rahmah Connect, you may be presented with a cookie or privacy preference banner. Where consent is required, you will be able to choose whether to permit non-essential technologies. Your options should include: Accept All — allow all optional categories. Reject All — reject non-essential technologies. Manage Preferences — choose which optional categories you wish to allow. Strictly necessary technologies cannot generally be switched off through our consent tool where they are required to provide the service you have requested. We will not treat simply continuing to browse Rahmah Connect as consent where affirmative consent is required. Current ICO guidance says consent should involve a positive action and that refusing non-essential technologies should be as easy as accepting them.

9. Changing or withdrawing your choices

You may change or withdraw your consent for optional cookies and similar technologies at any time. A Cookie Settings, Privacy Settings or similar link will be made available through the website, normally in the footer or another readily accessible location. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Changing your preferences may not automatically delete information already stored on your device. You can also use your browser settings to delete stored cookies.

10. Browser controls

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Depending on your browser, you may be able to:

  • view cookies stored on your device
  • delete individual or all cookies
  • block cookies
  • block third-party cookies
  • allow cookies from selected websites; or
  • delete cookies when the browser closes.

Blocking all cookies may prevent some Rahmah Connect features from operating properly. The ICO also explains that users can use browser controls to allow, block or delete cookies.

11. How long cookies remain

Different technologies remain on a device for different periods. Session technologies generally expire when your browsing session ends. Persistent technologies may remain for a defined period or until they are manually deleted. The duration depends on the purpose and provider of the technology. Rahmah Connect will aim to ensure that technologies are not retained for longer than reasonably necessary for their intended purpose. Where appropriate, the current cookie-management interface will provide details of the individual technologies in use and their duration.

12. Current cookie list

Because Rahmah Connect is currently being developed and the final analytics and marketing integrations have not all been deployed, we will not publish speculative cookie names, providers or expiry periods. Before the production platform launches, Rahmah Connect will conduct a cookie/technology audit. The live Cookie Settings interface should then identify, where applicable: Information What should be shown Cookie/technology Name or identifier Provider Rahmah Connect or relevant third party Purpose Why it is used Category Necessary / Functional / Analytics / Advertising Duration Session or applicable retention period This information may be updated as the technologies used by Rahmah Connect change.

13. New technologies

Rahmah Connect is a developing platform. We may introduce, replace or remove analytics, security, functional or advertising technologies as the platform develops. Where a new technology requires consent, we will not rely on consent previously obtained for a materially different purpose where fresh consent is legally required. We may update our cookie-management interface and this Cookie Policy accordingly.

14. Personal information

Some information collected through cookies and similar technologies may constitute personal data. Where this occurs, our processing of that information is also subject to applicable data protection law. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information about:

  • the personal information we process
  • why we process it
  • our lawful bases
  • organisations with whom information may be shared
  • international transfers
  • retention
  • your data protection rights; and
  • how to contact us about your personal information.

15. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including where:

  • our technology changes
  • we introduce new service providers
  • our analytics or advertising arrangements change
  • the law or regulatory guidance changes; or
  • Rahmah Connect introduces new services or functionality.

The latest version will be published on Rahmah Connect and the “Last updated” date will be changed accordingly. Where a change materially affects choices for which your consent is required, we will seek fresh consent where required by law.
